CHECKLIST - 3 DAY KIT


3 DAY (72 HOUR) KIT

______ 1. Obtain sufficient food to last for 72 hours for each family member.
______ 2. Obtain cooking supplies and fuel to use in the event of a loss of electricity and gas.
______ 3. Obtain sufficient water storage for drinking, cooking and sanitary needs.   
                  (2-4 gal/person.)
______ 4. Create 72 hour evacuation kits (include food, water, clothing, shelter, first-aid,  
                  and meds.)
______ 5. Store 72 hour evacuation kits in a way that is both accessible and portable, in an old carry-on suitcase with wheels.
______ 6. Establish an out-of-state family contact.
______ 7. Place first-aid kits in an accessible place at home and in each car.
______ 8. Obtain work gloves and tools for minor rescue and clean up.
______ 9. Obtain an appropriate amount of cash in small bills to use during an emergency.
_____10. Determine and obtain emergency heat source.
_____11. Keep your purse where you know it is.
_____12. Other items such as masks, light sticks, matches, food bars, flash drive
_____13. Handi-wipes & baby wipes, hand sanitizers, kitty litter for sanitary needs
_____14. Emergency contacts, insurance policies, extra keys, copies of driver’s license
_____15. Medicines & copies of prescriptions, important documents, scriptures and journal
_____16. Charging night-lights
_____17. Straps for pictures and furniture
