This blog has been created for the benefit of the citizens of Laguna Hills and has been generated by the members of the Family Preparedness Committee of the Laguna Hills 2nd Ward (congregation), of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our goal is to provide information to help members and citizens of our community with strategies to prepare their family for a time of emergency in the case of a tragedy and will include guidelines for emergency supplies, first-aid kits, food, water, document storage, community resources, ham radio information, CPR, and more. We will be posting regularly as a result of our monthly meetings providing information from the resources in our church as well as those of our community.
Everyone is invited to our meetings. We feel that it is the responsibility of everyone to prepare and have supplies for their own family first, and then help a neighbor as possible. We have been told in our community preparedness classes that there is a 99.9% chance that Southern California will be hit by an earthquake sometime in our future. If everyone is prepared, we can take care of our families and then help each other.
